Ohio State's Thayer Munford says O-Line will 'beat the living crap out of everybody'
Thayer Munford has a little bit of swagger. Ok, maybe the confidence is oozing out of the offensive lineman’s 6-foot-6, 320-pound frame. Either way, the Buckeye isn’t afraid to say what he’s thinking.
Munford was one of the players to meet with the media on Wednesday, recapping last week’s win over Oregon State and previewing this weekend’s conference battle against Rutgers.
While there were plenty of questions thrown his direction, he made one thing clear: Ohio State’s offensive line can dominate anyone.
“To be honest with you, we’re just some dogs,” Munford said in a video captured by Letterman Row. “Our whole offensive line is just some dogs. We will go over there and just beat the living crap out of everybody. It doesn’t matter who you are.”
So far, Munford’s statement has proven to be true.
The Buckeyes’ offensive front opened up some wide running lanes for running backs on Saturday and blocked well for quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The dominant play up front is a huge reason why Ohio State was able to drop 77 points on Oregon State.
Ohio State won’t score like that every weekend, but Munford made it perfectly clear that the Buckeyes’ aren’t afraid of anyone in the trenches.
