Ohio State has loads of talent this season. Nothing new, I know.

The Buckeyes have plenty of future NFL players on their roster and one of them is defensive end Chase Young. Young is the most likely player to be selected highest in the upcoming NFL Draft. He has been that disruptive.

On Monday, the latest Las Vegas odds were released for the Heisman Trophy award:

The top four are all quarterbacks on elite teams. Not much different there.

However, look at No. 5. There’s Young.

The last time a defensive player won the award was in 1997 when Michigan’s Charles Woodson won the award. Could Young do it this season? Maybe.

He has to continue to dominate and potentially break the record for sacks in a season while the Buckeyes go undefeated. Then, it would seem to be possible.

Note: Young has 13.5 sacks through eight games. The record in college football is 24 when Terrell Suggs did it with Arizona State in 2002.
