Ohio State has the top-ranked recruiting class in America, and it isn’t showing any signs of giving up that title.

The Buckeyes landed yet another top-100 recruit on Saturday. Their latest verbal pledge came from four-star two-way lineman Matthew Jones.

That came after Jones, who’s the top-ranked recruit in New York, attended the Buckeyes’ instructional camp on Saturday.

Jones is the No. 3 defensive tackle and the No. 53 player overall in the 247sports composite rankings. He has offers  from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Penn State and others.

Jones attended Erasmus Hall (NY), which was the same high school as former Buckeye star Curtis Samuel. Like Samuel, the newly-committed Buckeye will offer some versatility at the next level.

The Buckeyes only have one other offensive lineman committed in their 2018 class, which is up to 14 verbal pledges. Ohio State now has 10 commitments ranked in the 247sports composite top 100.
