Paris Johnson Jr. has continued his amazing streak of not allowing a sack for Ohio State in 2022.

In Saturday’s win over Rutgers, Johnson extended a streak that dates back to the 2020 season. He has not allowed a sack in 611 consecutive pass-block snaps for the Buckeyes.

Johnson has been a cornerstone of this offensive line for the last 3 seasons. His streak could last the entire season with how well the entire offensive has played throughout the season. He protected Ohio State quarterbacks Justin Fields and CJ Stroud for the last 3 seasons at Ohio State.

As a junior, he has been a factor in maintaining a strong offensive line for the Buckeyes. Stroud has been sacked 3 times in 5 games in 2022. That is a solid number that reflects the strong protection around Stroud. Johnson has played a role in limiting the number of sacks against Stroud.

This is Johnson’s 1st season at a new position on the offensive line. Before 2022, Johnson was a right guard. He was the starting right guard for all 13 games in 2021. He made the switch to left tackle in 2022 and has not skipped a beat. Even at a new position, Johnson continued to be dominant against opposing defensive lines. Johnson will look to continue his streak.

In Week 6, Ohio State will travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.
