Paul Finebaum updated the nation’s race to the Heisman Trophy coming out of Week 11. With just two weeks left in the season, Finebaum has a clear top 4 but doesn’t believe the race is over just yet.

During Sunday morning’s SportsCenter broadcast on ESPN, Finebaum included UNC QB Drake Maye as his “file” candidate to keep an eye on. Then, in his top 4, Finebaum included Michigan RB Blake Corum and Ohio State QB CJ Stroud.

Here is Finebaum’s top 4 with Stroud leading the way:

  • No. 4 — QB Stetson Bennett, Georgia
  • No. 3 — RB Blake Corum, Michigan
  • No. 2 — QB Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
  • No. 1 — QB CJ Stroud, Ohio State

When it comes to the top 2, Finebaum explained that Hooker was leading up until Tennessee’s Week 10 loss to Georgia when Hooker was effectively shut down. Stroud also has better chances to make a statement over the conclusion of the regular season.

“(Stroud) came close to winning it last year, he was ahead going into the final game against Michigan,” explained Finebaum. “He lost it there, we’ll find out in 2 weeks if he’ll wrap it up.”

Both Ohio State and Michigan should be solid favorites in their Week 12 matchups before turning their attention to The Game. The B1G East — and the Heisman — could be up for grabs when the two teams meet in Week 13.
