Paul Finebaum: Ohio State 'has all the pressure' in Week 1 matchup with Notre Dame
Paul Finebaum joined ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ to give his take on the Ohio State-Notre Dame matchup. The ball is in Ohio State’s court, Finebaum says.
Part of the reason why he believes that Ohio State will be feeling the pressure ie because a lot of people are predicting that the Buckeyes are going to just dominate the Fighting Irish.

“I think Ohio State has all the pressure on them because we just think – we’ve been told by the experts – that Ohio State is just going to roll over them. I do think that part of the game helps Notre Dame,” said Finebaum.
Notre Dame is coming into the game with a lot of injuries, and Finebaum thinks it will not go well for Marcus Freeman’s group in Columbus. He doesn’t see Notre Dame making the CFP in Freeman’s 1st season at the helm.
“Quite frankly, it sounds great that (the Irish) can lose by 6 (to Ohio State), and then beat Southern Cal and then beat Clemson,” said Finebaum. “But that’s not going to happen, so we’re wasting a lot of good oxygen on a lost cause. Notre Dame is not going to be in the Playoff.”
