Paul Finebaum weighed in on the Ohio State quarterback competition between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown.

McCord saw limited action last season playing behind C.J. Stroud, while Brown has never attempted a pass for the Buckeyes. In 2 seasons with the Buckeyes, McCord has completed 41 of  58 passes.

While the Ohio State coaching staff is not willing to name a starter, Finebaum sees a clear winner.

“This is not complicated, McCord should start,” Finebaum said. “They’re playing a Big Ten team in the opener and they have Notre Dame later in September. If you want to figure it out after that, fine.”

With as much skill position talent in the nation, the Buckeyes are in an enviable position

“When you think about it this is not a bad problem to have,” Finebaum said. “They have the best receiver room and they have 2 really good quarterbacks that could start a lot of places.”

Ohio State opens the season Sep 2. at Indiana.
