Perfect? Not quite, but CJ Stroud's 1st quarter was still mind-blowing vs. Spartans
Ohio State is not messing around vs. Michigan STate, building a 21-0 lead coming out of the first quarter.
The Spartans have had some early miscues with a fumble and missed field goal, but make no mistake about it. The Buckeye offense continues to dominate in a way that few teams can match.

Ohio State’s catalyst has been the play of quarterback C.J. Stroud. He was not quite perfect, but that is only because he had one lone incompletion that came on a play where he got rid of the ball.
At the end of the first, Stroud finished 16-for-17 for 241 yards and 3 touchdowns. He becomes the first B1G QB with a 200-yard first quarter since 2004.
Stroud’s favorite target in the early going has been Garrett Wilson with 5 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. Chris Olave has not been far behind with 4 catches for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns. Olave also became the program’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns during that incredible quarter.
Early in the second quarter, Stroud completed his next pass for his 4th touchdown of the first halve. At 28-0 early, this is already a blowout for the Buckeyes.
