Phil Steele, CFB guru, reveals his 4 teams for the 2022 College Football Playoff
Phil Steele is one of the well-respected voices in the world of college football. Each season, Steele compiles a preseason magazine that is full of content previewing the upcoming college football season.
With the calendar turning into the heart of July, Steele made known his predictions for the 4 teams that will make the 2022 College Football Playoff.
During an appearance on “The Morning Show With John And Hugh” on 92.9 FM The Game (Atlanta), Steele told host John Fricke that he has one B1G team in the field of 4 (via 247 Sports):
“I’ve got Ohio State making the Playoff, Alabama making the Playoff, Georgia making the Playoff and Clemson making the Playoff,” Steele said. “I think if you look at their rosters overall due to what we just talked about — to your point originally there, John — was the recruiting classes that they brought in over the last five years have really got them the most talented teams.”
Those 4 teams are certainly used to the Playoff, even if Ohio State and Clemson missed the field last season to Cincinnati and Michigan. Steele’s 4 teams are likely to be at or near the top of many preseason projections this season.
