ESPN polled 99 college football players, who gave their picks for the Heisman Trophy, national champions, best coach, last coach you’d want to play for and more.

Guess what? They picked Ohio State to win the national title.

Thirty percent of the players picked the Buckeyes to repeat, which was four more votes than Alabama received.

“I can see Ohio State winning again. I would cheer for them because they’re from the Big Ten, even though I hate them!” — Big Ten player on the Buckeyes’ bid for a repeat

Eighty-eight percent of players voted the Buckeyes as one of the four playoff teams.

Ezekiel Elliott finished one vote behind Trevone Boykin for the Heisman vote, and Urban Meyer finished second for “Best Coach.” He fell 12 votes short of Alabama coach Nick Saban, who Meyer rolled in the Sugar Bowl last year.

Saban was also tabbed for “Last Coach You’d Want to Play For.” One vote behind him was Jim Harbaugh, who apparently isn’t well liked by an unnamed Big 12 player.

“I hate Jim Harbaugh. He’s arrogant and pompous and thinks he’s the best.” — Big 12 player on his least favorite head man

Harbaugh will make his Michigan debut Thursday night at Utah. In case you hadn’t heard.
