Ohio State is running out of room in its 2018 class, but it certainly isn’t running out of talent.

The Buckeyes got their 17th verbal pledge, this one via another four-star linebacker from Virginia.

K’Vaughan Pope announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Friday.

The 6-2, 210-pound recruit picked Ohio State instead of Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and others.

The No. 7 inside linebacker and the No. 168 player overall, Pope is the second inside linebacker from Virginia to join the Buckeyes’ 2018 class. Ohio State already has a commitment from Teradja Mitchell, who is the No. 2 recruit from Virginia.

Pope, a 6-2, 210-pound recruit, racked up 135 tackles, 29 tackles for a loss, six interceptions, 4.5 sacks, four defensive touchdowns, four forced fumbles, three blocked field goals, two blocked punts and two fumble recoveries  in his junior season at Dinwiddie (Va.).

And apparently, he’s already a workout warrior:

With Pope on board, Ohio State’s top-ranked class got its 15th verbal pledge from a recruit rated four-stars or better.
