Re-evaluation on Ohio State's Nick Bosa won't come until November
It’s going to be awhile before Nick Bosa is back in the scarlet and gray uniform. That is, if he does suit up for Ohio State again.
On Monday, Urban Meyer addressed Bosa’s injury at his weekly press conference, saying the defensive end still has a few weeks left of recovery and won’t be available against Penn State. There was no date given for a possible return.

But according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, the date of Bosa’s return won’t come before November, at least if you believe his parents. The defensive end, who recently underwent surgery for a core muscle injury, won’t be re-evaluated until the final month of the season.
From Rittenberg:
Cheryl Bosa, the mother of Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa, tells me Nick is in Philadelphia for rehab after undergoing core muscle surgery last week. Cheryl Bosa said Nick will return to Philadelphia in November to be re-evaluated. “It would be then that we’ll assess his readiness,” she said. Cheryl said her son wants to return for Ohio State this season but that they’ll discuss his situation (NFL) as a family before making a decision. He’s expected to fully recover from the injury and is working with well-known core muscle specialists Dr. William Meyers of the Vincera Institute. “He’s the best doctor in the world for the injury that he sustained,” Cheryl Bosa said.
Bosa suffered an injury in the third quarter of Ohio State’s matchup against TCU on Sept. 15. He left the game with a noticeable limp and returned to the sideline in street clothes.
Meyer said on Monday that Bosa will return for the Buckeyes at some point, but it even sounds like that is up in the air at the moment.
In three games, Bosa has tallied 14 tackles, six for loss and four sacks. He’s considered one of the top defensive linemen in the nation and a future first round pick in the NFL Draft.
