Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart think C.J. Stroud is on track to become the next Heisman winner.

Leinart stated that Stroud’s limited pass performance last weekend against Northwestern shouldn’t hold much stock when considering his Heisman worthiness. 40 mph+ wind gusts and heavy rain forced the Buckeyes to abandon their first game plan due to the weather.

The analyst also pointed out Stroud’s versatility in using his legs to win out last weekend.  The Buckeyes relied heavily on Stroud’s rushing skills for the win in Evanston. The QB ended up rushing for 3 more yards than he did passing, finishing with 79 yards on 6 attempts.

Should Ohio State win out over Michigan in 2 weeks, the analysts consider Stroud a lock for the Heisman. Of course, there’s a lot of football to play still. The No. 3 Wolverines and No. 2 Buckeyes will meet on Nov. 26 to likely decide both the B1G champions and the team likely to receive a CFP berth.
