One of Ohio State’s commitments in the class of 2022 has reportedly sustained a serious injury ahead of the start of his senior season.

The player is Kyion Grayes, a 4-star wide receiver out of Chandler, Arizona. He has been committed to the Buckeyes since February.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Grayes could miss a portion of his senior season due to an injury. According to Bill Kurelic with Bucknuts, Grayes injured his elbow in a scrimmage.

Grayes confirmed to Kurelic that the injury is a dislocated elbow and that he will be out of competition until at least Week 8:

“A dislocated elbow,” Grayes told Bucknuts. “I won’t be back till week eight.”

That is not something that is likely to slow Grayes down in the future, but it is still tough to see a young athlete miss time with such an injury. Hopefully, he is able to return to full health quickly.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Grayes is the 99th best prospect in the country and the No. 13 WR nationally for the cycle.
