Report: Injury update not good for Colts safety, former Buckeye Malik Hooker
Just two games into the 2020 season, Colts safety Malik Hooker’s year on the field is over.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported on Monday that the Indianapolis defensive back suffered a torn Achilles during the Colts’ 28-11 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Hooker will be out for the remainder of the season.

Hooker left Sunday’s game after tallying two tackles in the win. Both were solo stops.
Hooker was a first-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, selected No. 15 overall by the Colts out of Ohio State. He’s in his fourth year in the league and his career is already off to an outstanding start.
Through his first 36 games, Hooker has collected 124 tackles, 11 passes defended, 7 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. His absence will be a tough blow to the Colts defense for the remainder of the season.
Indianapolis is 1-1 after defeating Minnesota.
