Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade opted out of the 2020 season earlier this week, choosing to start training for the NFL Draft when it looked like the B1G wouldn’t be playing football this fall. Does the Buckeye star have a change of heart, though?

According to a report from Austin Ward of Lettermen Row, Wade plans to make a public announcement on his decision for the 2020 season on Thursday on ESPN. He’s expected to make the announcement between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Wade decided to return to Columbus following the 2019 season to help improve his draft stock and win a national championship at Ohio State. With the uncertainty of the 2020 B1G season, however, the CB made the choice to solely focus on the NFL.

On Wednesday, the B1G reversed course and reinstated the fall football season. That mean Wade had to make another decision to make — either remain in the NFL Draft and return to Ohio State (again) for one more season with the Buckeyes.

Wade finished the 2019 season with 25 tackles, 8 pass break-ups, 2 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception. He was a key contributor on one of the nation’s top defenses last fall, and helped the Buckeyes to a 13-1 record, a B1G title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

We’ll know before the end of the day what his final decision will be.
