A senior cornerback has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal after spending 4 seasons at Ohio State.

Bill Rabinowitz of the Columbus Dispatch reported on Sunday that Lloyd McFarquhar has decided to enter the portal and explore his options outside of Ohio State. He joined the team as a walk-on before the 2018 season.

Over his 4 years with the program, McFarquhar has appeared in 4 games. He played in 1 contest in 2019 and 2020 and saw the field in 2 games this fall, making appearances in wins over Akron and Michigan State.

McFarquhar did not play during the 2018 season.

A native of Cleveland, McFarquhar will still have 2 years of eligibility to use at his next destination. He has already utilized a redshirt year and the NCAA granted all student-athletes a waiver for the 2020 season because of the pandemic.

Ohio State finished the 2021 season with an 11-2 record and a win over Utah in the Rose Bowl.
