Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is one step closer to achieving his dream to play in the NFL.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Fields has signed for representation with Athletes First and agent David Mulugheta. The Buckeyes gunslinger declared for the 2021 NFL Draft earlier this week, ending his career in Columbus after two remarkable seasons as the starting QB.

Mulugheta is also the representative for Houston Texas quarterback and former Clemson star Deshaun Watson.

Fields ended the 2020 season throwing for 2,100 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing 70.2% of his passes. He also rushed for 383 yards and 5 touchdowns while leading the Buckeyes to a 7-1 season that included a B1G title, a victory over Clemson in the Sugar Bowl and an appearance in the national championship.

In two seasons in Columbus, Fields was 20-2 as a starter, with his only losses coming to Clemson (2019) and Alabama (2020) in the College Football Playoff. He was a two-time winner of the B1G Offensive Player of the Year Award, was a Heisman finalist following the 2019 campaign and is likely to be one of the first 10 players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.
