A report out of 247Sports suggests that Ohio State’s football players will be returning to campus in Columbus on June 8. This is huge news, as there has still been no announcement regarding the 2020 college football season.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ohio State has reopened its football facility this week, allowing coaches and staff back in offices for limited use. Currently, players are not permitted to be on campus but are still able to meet with coaches virtually.

The B1G implemented an extension on its suspension of organized team activities through June 1. However, the report from 247Sports suggests that the suspension could be lifted around that time. No official announcement has come from the league office at this time.

Ohio State was forced to cancel spring practice after just three practices due the coronavirus pandemic. Since that time, players and coaches have not been permitted to meet face to face.

This is a developing story.
