One of Ohio State’s best recruits in some time is reportedly set to arrive on campus this week.

5-star quarterback Quinn Ewers committed to the Buckeyes back in November. He was originally slated to join Ohio State as the top player in the nation for the class of 2022.

However, Ewers made waves recently with his decision to bypass his senior year of high school in Texas while reclassifying to the class of 2021. The move by Ewers will allow him to begin entering into NIL deals, something he would not be allowed to do as a senior in high school in Texas. He recently announced his first NIL deal on Monday.

Now, the Buckeyes reportedly have an arrival date for Ewers. According to Bill Kurelic with Bucknuts, Ewers is set to arrive on campus this Thursday. Ewers is expected to enter the quarterback competition, making it a four-way battle in Columbus upon his arrival.

It is certainly a good problem to have, but it will be interesting to see how this QB battle shakes up. Along with Ewers, Ohio State has redshirt freshmen in C.J. Stroud and Jack Miller and true freshman Kyle McCord competing for the starting job.
