You hear it plenty around this time of year: “It’s just preseason.”

Preseason or not former Ohio State safety Ronnie Hickman, who went undrafted this past offseason, posted one of the most impressive NFL preseason debuts of the year Friday night with the Cleveland Browns. The former Buckeye snagged not 1, but a pair of interceptions for Cleveland against the Washington Commanders.

Here’s No. 1, plucked out of the air right before halftime as the Commanders looked to add some points before the horn:

And here’s No. 2 later in the game, also near the Commanders’ end zone. While the first one was not the best thrown ball, Hickman really had to fight for this one.

Hickman added 5 tackles on top of his 2 interceptions, the only such INTs of the night for the Browns. Cleveland went on to rally a late comeback but fell to Washington in their first preseason tilt, 17-15.
