Ronnie Hickman, Ohio State DB, confirms plans for 2023
Ronnie Hickman announced that this will be his last game in The Shoe against hated rival Michigan. Hickman has been a critical piece of a much improved Ohio State defense this season and has helped the defensive backend improve week to week.
“I think everyone’s clock starts ticking at a certain point,” Hickman said while talking about his decision per Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors. “At some point, it’s gonna be time for everyone to take that next step, and I think that’s now.”
Ronnie Hickman just confirmed Saturday’s game will be his final game at Ohio Stadium. He will enter the 2023 NFL draft after this season.

Last season, Hickman led the team with 100 tackles and became the first Buckeye since Raekwon McMillan in 2016 to reach 100 tackles. He’s also provided tons of experience over his 4 years at Ohio State with 17 consecutive starts.
Hickman understands what to expect from The Game and will look to finish his time in Columbus with a win before heading to the 2023 NFL Draft.
