It’s only Week 2 of the college football season, but smack talk is a year round hobby.

For some, that’s how it’s viewed: a hobby. For Rutgers tackle Tariq Cole, he gave respect to Ohio State DE Nick Bosa earlier this year before throwing a fact out there that could be taken the wrong way.

“When you watch him, you can tell he’s at a different level,” Cole said. “His stance, start, get-off, hand placement. He does a great job at that stuff. But the thing I respect the most about him is he’s not only technically sound, but you get the same effort from him every play.

“All I know is Nick hasn’t gotten a sack off me. It’s up to me to keep it that way.”

Again, respect was given. But, to let it be known that Bosa hasn’t gotten a sack against him is essentially fighting words in the world of football.

We’ll find out not only which team wins on Saturday between Ohio State-Rutgers, but whether or not Bosa can keep Cole from mentioning his name again as well.

The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start on Saturday at Ohio Stadium. The game will be televised on BTN.
