Ryan Day learned about who Mike Hall’s teammates J.T. Tuimoloau and Zach Harrison compared him to. He is hoping that Hall doesn’t let it go to his head per Griffin Strom of Eleven Warriors.
Hall has impressed his teammates so far, which is what inspired the comparison to Los Angeles Rams DL Aaron Donald. The Ohio State DL definitely has some high expectations now that the comparison has been made, but Day wants him to just focus on playing the game.
“One thing we can’t do is listen to the noise,” said Day. “He’s got very high-end potential, and when he’s hungry, he can be a very, very good player.”

Hall is very early into his Ohio State career, heading in his 2nd year with the team in 2022. He has 4 seasons of eligibility left, and appeared in 4 games for the Buckeyes last season. Hall finished the Notre Dame game with 4 total tackles, including 3 solo and 1 assisted.
We’ll see if he can live up to the expectations of being mentioned in the same sentence as Donald.
