Williams is a big loss for the Buckeyes’ backfield that has battled numerous injuries so far this season. Williams last played in Ohio State’s win over Penn State back in Week 8. He had a season-high 24 carries for 62 yards and a touchdown in that win.
Williams’ season finishes with 158 yards and 3 touchdowns on 49 carries. It’s a disappointing campaign for Williams, who was coming off of a 825-yard, 14-touchdown season in 2022.
Ohio State did get running back TreVeyon Henderson back from injury in its win over Wisconsin. Henderson rushed for 162 yards and 1 touchdown in the victory over the Badgers. That was his first action since Ohio State’s win over Notre Dame on Sept. 23.
Ohio State will go on the road to face Rutgers this weekend.
