Ryan Day and Ohio State might have opened the CFP rankings at No. 1 in the country, but the Buckeyes are in serious trouble in Week 10.

Facing Rutgers on the road, Ohio State has managed just one touchdown with the offense struggling heavily yet again. While Kyle McCord did start the game with an impressive streak, he has just 80 yards passing and threw a disastrous interception in his own territory inside the 2-minute mark of the half.

On the other side of the ball, Ohio State’s defense has allowed the rushing attack of the Scarlet Knights to get rolling with Kyle Monangai closing in on a 100-yard outing. QB Gavin Wimsatt struggled early on but has also found his footing against the Buckeyes.

Just before halftime, Rutgers capitalized on the McCord interception by rolling down into the red zone and taking the lead with a chip-shot field goal. That try by Jai Patel made it 9-7, Scarlet Knights, against the top-ranked Buckeyes.
