Ryan Day gives blunt answer when asked about potential availability of Marvin Harrison Jr.
Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes take on Missouri Friday evening in the Cotton Bowl.
The availability of several players is already known for Friday. Obviously, Nebraska-bound Kyle McCord will not suit up for the Buckeyes, nor will RB Chip Trayanum. But what about star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.? So far, Harrison has not confirmed any plans for the bowl game or the 2024 NFL Draft, and coaches have been hesitant to divulge any further information.
But once again, the question was asked to Day on Thursday. And per usual, he’s keeping things close to the chest. He gave a blunt answer in response: “We’ll know in about 24 hours.”
At the Cotton Bowl head coaches’ press conference, Ryan Day declines comment on whether or not Marvin Harrison Jr. will play in tomorrow’s game. Says he does not want to put players’ decisions out there. “We’ll know in about 24 hours.”

Harrison is widely regarded as the best WR prospect in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft cycle, should he announce plans to enter as most expect. The Biletnikoff winner totaled 62 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns this past season.
We’ll see if he has any plans to add to that in a little over 24 hours.
