The Ohio State Buckeyes struggled defensively in their loss to Oregon last week 35-28.

Defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs has been under fire this week after the lackluster performances of the Buckeyes dating back to last season.

In the last 3 games, the Buckeyes’ defense has gave up 35, 31 and 52, dating back to the College Football Playoff National Championship last season.

Ryan Day spoke to the media ahead of their non-conference matchup with Tulsa on Saturday.

Day said they will be deciding who is calling the plays defensively after practice on Thursday.

Day also gave an update on what he saw on film from last Saturdays’ lackluster performance against the Ducks.

The Buckeyes host the Golden Hurricanes at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
