Saturday is a big one for No. 4 Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have been dominant in their first two victories of the season, but there are still some of those “who have they played?” critics wandering around out there. On Saturday, OSU will have the opportunity to notch its first marquee victory of the season against No. 15 TCU.
On Thursday, interim head coach Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Greg Schiano filled in on the weekly Urban Meyer radio show to talk about the colossal matchup between two college football powers.
Here’s what both coaches had to say about Saturday’s clash in Texas with TCU:
Ryan Day on being acting head coach for Ohio State's 900th win: "To be a part of that just goes to show what a great tradition is here, and just humbled to be a part of it."

Day on TCU coach Gary Patterson coming up with wrinkles for this game: Said Patterson has done this well for a long time and the Buckeyes must be able to make adjustments on the fly.

Day said TCU is built to handle tempo because it's common in the Big 12. "We have to dictate the tempo. We can't let them dictate the tempo."

Ohio State acting head coach Ryan Day on Saturday's game against TCU: "This is the game that's been circled on their and our calendars for a long time."

Day on challenges of going on the road: "It's a business trip." Said veterans will disabuse young players of notion that it's sort of a field trip.

Day: "You feel when you go on the road it's you against the world." But he knows there will be plenty of Buckeye fans in Arlington.

Schiano on LBs: "We're going to play more than three even in close games" because more than three deserve to play. Mentions Dante Booker and Justin Hilliard as other guys who'll play.
— Bill Rabinowitz 🗞 (@brdispatch) September 13, 2018
Schiano on TCU QB Shawn Robinson: Said he's got a strong arm and is a talented runner who's almost like a RB. Said Buckeyes must be very disciplined.
— Bill Rabinowitz 🗞 (@brdispatch) September 13, 2018
Schiano on TCU's OL,: "I think this is a really good offensive line. They're very physical, they're athletic and they're big. By far the biggest test we've had. They remind me of a very good Big Ten offensive line."
