Ryan Day is getting crushed by fans, media for second straight loss in The Game
Ryan Day is getting crushed on social media after losing to Michigan once again.
The Buckeyes fell to the Wolverines at home by a score of 45-23. Fans and media members on Twitter were quick to blame Day for the loss, with many questioning the play-calling, preparedness, and defensive effort.
It’s not hard to see why. The Buckeyes were favored coming into the game and were expected to have the edge in talent while also holding a revenge factor after the loss in 2021.
In the end, it’s more heartbreak for the Buckeyes and a bit of fire directed at Day:
Jim Harbaugh really beat Ryan Day’s ass, called him a fraud nationally, and then beat his ass even harder the next game 💀💀💀💀

Michigan has outscored Ohio State 86-50 since Ryan Day said he wanted to hang 100 on ’em.

This is 100% on Ryan Day.
Absolutely pathetic.

Getting beat that badly by Michigan when they didn’t have Blake Corum is an absolutely pathetic. This one is all on Ryan Day.

Here’s the thing, now that the season is over, Ryan Day for the year was a poor play caller..He had one good game against Wisconsin. Other than that he never dialed it up to where this offense was clicking for 4Q, especially with the talent he had.

Ryan Day now has as many losses to Michigan in two seasons as Jim Tressel, Luke Fickell and Urban Meyer had in 18.

Ryan Day and OSU have completely wasted so many guys’ careers the last few seasons, it’s legitimately sickening.

Ryan Day was born on third base and now he’s standing on second.

As you can see, plenty of people blame Day for the loss. It should be noted that Day still sports a 45-5 record as head coach for the Buckeyes, but he’s 0-2 in his most recent tries against TTUN.
