Ryan Day lists area of emphasis for Ohio State vs. Maryland coming out of halftime
Ryan Day was not pleased with Ohio State’s first-half output vs. Maryland. Despite entering the game as a high-powered offense, the Buckeyes come out of halftime trailing 13-10.
During his on-field interview, Day specifically touched on Ohio State’s ground game as something that needs to be improved. Playing without Miyan Williams, the Buckeyes were held to 28 yards rushing by the Terps. That includes TreVeyon Henderson carrying the ball 11 times for 19 yards.
According to Day, the push on the offensive line has been okay at times, but Ohio State is not hitting those gaps. He also touched on the self-inflicted wounds via penalties.
“We’ve gotta run the ball better. I think we’re getting good movement up front we’re just not hitting it the way we need to,” said Day. “Also had some self-inflicted wounds in the first half.”
