Ohio State’s 2019 season is about to begin.

The Buckeyes are starting at noon on Saturday, Aug. 31 at home against FAU. The game will be televised on FOX.

Prior to the action officially starting, first-year head coach Ryan Day spoke with the media on Tuesday. Day talked about a number of different topics and one was about OL Branden Bowen. Day announced his starting offensive tackles and Bowen was one of them:

Not only is Bowen the starting right tackle, but Day talked more in-depth about the player who has had to overcome a lot.

Bowen didn’t play in 2018 due to major injuries:

The story behind Bowen and what he has had to overcome to get to where he is at now is a great one. It shows his heart, which Day has clearly recognized.
