Ohio State will lack QB depth once again this week when they face Purdue.

Last week 3rd-string QB Jack Miller was arrested for  operating a vehicle while impaired. He was suspended from team activities and did not make the trip to Lincoln for Ohio State’s game against Nebraska.

You can read the original story here.

Head coach Ryan Day in his weekly press conference, has said that Miller is off the team for another week, and they are going to wait and see until more information comes out.

Griffin Strom of elevenwarriors.com provides more context on the situation:

QB C.J. Stroud is the starter for the Buckeyes, and Kyle McCord is the backup.

Stroud, this season has played very well as the starter; he is 183-of-273 for a 67% completion rate throwing 2,675 yards, 25 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

The Buckeyes will need Stroud to keep playing at a high level as their final 3 games are a gauntlet. The Spoilermakers of Purdue come to town this weekend, then they are home against No. 3 Michigan State and then finish the season with No. 7 Michigan.
