Ryan Day and Ohio State lead Akron 17-3 at halftime, but Buckeyes fans have been left wanting more from their offense.

Will Howard has two touchdown passes — both to Jeremiah Smith — in his Buckeyes debut, but is just 10-of-21 for 116 yards. He does have a 19-yard run to his credit as he’s been able to showcase a bit of his dual-threat tendencies.

All told, the Buckeyes have 203 yards of total offense. There’s still plenty of time to go in this one, but so far, the No. 2 team in the country hasn’t looked as dominant as they should. That’s especially considering they were an overwhelming favorite to beat the Zips on Saturday.
