Ryan Day, Ohio State still deciding on starting kicker for CFP game vs. Tennessee
Ryan Day and the Ohio State have still yet to decide on a starting kicker ahead of the upcoming College Football Playoff game against the Tennessee Volunteers.
The Buckeyes head coach said in his most recent press conference that it would be decided after the day’s practice whether the starting kicker would be Jayden Fielding or Austin Snyder. The uncertainty comes after Fielding struggled through his last appearance, missing 2 kicks in the loss to the Michigan Wolverines.

Outside of the kicker position, Day has been optimistic about the way the team has performed as a whole, saying that they had good energy and mojo this week.
He also thinks they have a strong mentality for such a large game.
“When you’re playing in big games … you don’t sit up at night thinking about making that big sack or making that big throw,” he said at his press conference on Wednesday. “When you put your head on your pillow, just focus on going as hard as you possibly can and giving everything you have.”
Ohio State and Tennessee are set to kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night. The Buckeyes are favored by 7.5 points at most sportsbooks.
