Day discussed 2nd-year offensive lineman Donovan Jackson’s play in 2022. Jackson appeared in all 13 games in 2021 as a true freshman. He has emerged as an important piece on the offensive line. Day credited Jackson for his mentality:
“He’s very talented, but he’s also very intelligent and tough,” he said. “What makes him special is his mental makeup.”

Day added that Ohio State's offensive line has been a strong unit collectively in 2022.

For Johnson, Day highlighted his strengths and also noted what he needs to work on:

Johnson is in his junior season at Ohio State and he has made the adjustment to the offensive tackle position. Jackson and Johnson will continue to be key members on the offensive line.
Ohio State will look to protect Stroud on Saturday against Michigan State.
