Knowles has only been at Ohio State for a short amount of time, but is making a good impression on the players and staff. Day went on to call Knowles the head coach of the defense, and spoke about his methods.

“The idea was for him to be the head coach of the defense,” Day said. “Jim is excellent to work with. I think he’s off to a really good start. The (players) can see how well the scheme is put together, but they still can work on the fundamentals.”

Perhaps Knowles’ tactics can translate to the football field.
