Ryan Day previews showdown with Iowa, facing 'winning recipe' of Hawkeyes in Week 8
Ryan Day and Ohio State have a huge matchup this weekend against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Although the Hawkeyes are struggling at 3-3, that doesn’t mean Day is taking this team lightly. Far from it.
Day knows this Hawkeyes team is still dangerous despite their record. Day discusses their style of play.
“Their style is similar to some of the teams we’ve played. They want to control the game,” he said. “They play complementary football… They’ve done that for a long time, and it’s a winning recipe.”

Iowa has struggled a lot on offense this season but Day knows all that won’t matter come Saturday.
“They’re not looking or interested in scoring a million points or putting up a ton of yards,” he said. But Day says the Hawkeye recipe on offense has been successful in the past.

Another thing he is concerned about is the Hawkeyes’defense who he knows will be ready.
“We’ve been there before, we’ve seen it live and in color against these guys.”

It seems as if the Hawkeyes give the Buckeyes a hard time every few years. and the last time the pair played each other in 2017, they won 55-24.
So, Ryan Day knows exactly why he nor his team can’t take this team lightly.
