Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes lost to Michigan in The Game for the fourth straight season. The Buckeyes’ offense never got going against a tough Wolverine defense, and they lost by a score of 13-10.

This is the 1st time in over 30 years that the Buckeyes have lost 4 in a row to their hated rivals. Naturally, Ryan Day will face a fair share of criticism after failing to get it done again.

After the game, the coach said he was “extremely disappointed and angry,” at the result.

“Fresh off the game right now. Obviously, extremely disappointed and angry that we didn’t execute well enough,” Day said. “This is not easy to accept. Have to take ownership.”

The Buckeyes managed just 252 total yards of offense and turned the ball over twice. The Wolverines were able to win despite throwing for just 62 yards.

Day was also asked if there’s a correlation between the team’s recent losses to the Wolverines.

“Each game is different,” said the coach. “The results are the results. As hard as that is to say, we came up short again here today. That’s not easy to swallow at all.”

With the loss, the Buckeyes will end the regular season with a 10-2 overall record. The losses came to Oregon and Michigan, and the team will not play in the Big Ten Championship Game if Penn State beats Maryland. The Buckeyes will likely be in the College Football Playoff regardless, but this loss could force the Buckeyes to play a road game instead of hosting.
