Ryan Day reaffirms importance of 'competitive stamina' following Week 7 upsets
Ryan Day regularly harps on the importance of “competitive stamina” for Ohio State. The events of Week 7 brought that topic back to the forefront as the Buckeyes return to action out of a bye week.
After a weekend that saw three top-10 teams lose, Ohio State’s head coach discussed the importance of bringing your A-game week in and week out.
Ryan Day on three top-10 teams losing over the weekend: “That’s the whole emphasis of competitive stamina. You’ve got to bring it every week.”

Ohio State has remained safe so far, sitting at 6-0. Despite not seeing much competition so far, the Buckeyes have kept their foot on the gas pedal through the beginning of the season, defeating their opponents by 11 points or more every week.
The Buckeyes should have an easy week ahead at Iowa but are set to face some tough teams down the stretch, like Penn State and Michigan.
