The Buckeyes have been on the struggle bus all week as they have had to answer some tough questions early in the year.
The 7-point home loss to the Ducks was an eye-opener for Ryan Day and his staff.
On Thursday, coach Ryan Day talked about how they may have put too much on the young C.J. Stroud in the loss last week.
On C.J. Stroud: “I think we put too much on him, for sure … still has a long way to go in his development, but it’s a good start.”

Against the Ducks, the stat line for C.J. Stroud was 35-of-54 for 484 yards and on a 68.4 percent completion rate with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
The Buckeyes will probably take some of the pressure off the young QB this weekend, and with a lesser opponent in Tulsa coming to Columbus, Stroud will most likely get his confidence back.
The Buckeyes have a few more tune-up games before they get into conference play.
This season, the Buckeyes will face 2 more AP Top-25 opponents at home vs. Penn State and on the road at Michigan.
The Buckeyes and the Golden Hurricanes square off at 3:30 ET on FS1.
