Ryan Day shares heartwarming story about meeting his wife as teammates during Little League baseball

Long before Ryan Day was head coach at Ohio State, he played Little League baseball growing up like many other kids.
Day made an interview Thursday evening during the Little League World Series with his hometown team in action on ESPN. Day grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire, and the North Manchester-Hooksett team is taking on a team out of California in the opening round of action.
During the interview, Day discussed playing for a state championship team in 1990 before losing in the regional round:
“I grew up, in 1990 we won the state championship and went on to play in the regional championships and lost, didn’t make the World Series, but had a great expereince there,” said Day.
He went on to explain that he actually met his wife years before that while playing on the same tee-ball team:
“My wife and I were actually on the same tee-ball team together, so we’re both Manchester North Little League Alums,” explained Day. “6-years-old on the same team, we still laugh about it all the time.”
It’s hard to top a love story like that:
