Ryan Day’s team went down on the scoreboard during the first quarter against Iowa. Ohio State responded well and came away with the victory in a 54-10 beatdown of Iowa.

Iowa took an early lead thanks to a scoop-and-score in the first half following a sack on C.J. Stroud. The offense quickly recovered and managed to go into halftime up 26-10.

A field goal in the second quarter was the last points that the Ohio State defense would allow Iowa to score. The offense then scored 28 unanswered in the second half. Day was very complimentary of how his team turned things around.

“It was hard early on, but we stuck with it and got into rhythm there in the 3rd and beginning of the 4th quarter,” said Day.

The Buckeyes are now 7-0 with a favorable schedule leading up to the rivalry game with Michigan at the end of the season.
