Ryan Day spoke with ESPN’s sideline crew after an impressive first half for his Buckeyes.

Speaking with the media, Day said that he “expected” his team to perform that way.

“We worked on it for a long time, that was a 2-minute drill we worked a lot on,” said Day in regard to Ohio State’s late touchdown before the break. “CJ (Stroud) and X (Xavier Johnson) did a great job executing that one.  That was the coverage we expected to get and they had to put it on the field. A lot of football left but that’s how we expected to play in the first half. Now we just have to do it in the second half.”
