Ryan Day and Ohio State earned a huge 17-14 victory against host Notre Dame in Week 4. Apparently the victory gives Day extra points in his marriage as well.

Day recently joked that defeating the Fighting Irish on the road is a romantic gesture to his wife.

“The most romantic thing I’ve done in the last few months was beat Notre Dame last Saturday night. That’s the truth. You can ask her, I guarantee it,” Day said. “There ain’t no night out that she wants more than to win that game, I can promise you that right now. So that was a good night.”

Quarterback Kyle McCord marched Ohio State down the field and Notre Dame had only 10 players on defense when Chip Trayanum scored the game-winning touchdown with 1 second to go.

“You can’t draw it up any better than that, down four points with a chance to go down and win it,” McCord said via the AP. “Historic stadium, great defense, like I said it wasn’t perfect, but to come away with the win, it feels really, really good.”

No. 4 Ohio State is currently on a bye week. The Buckeyes will resume action with a home contest vs. Maryland on Oct. 7 (12 p.m. EST/FOX).
