Ohio State’s fall camp is in full swing and for the first time in awhile there is uncertainty at the quarterback position.

The quarterbacks battling for the starting spot for the Buckeyes are C.J. Stroud, Kyle McCord, Jack Miller III and Quinn Ewers.

In a press conference earlier this morning Day said “C.J. Stroud has started to separate from the pack at quarterback, though Ohio State is not officially naming him the starter yet.” According to Dan Hope of elevenwarriors.com

Ewers is a 5-star Freshman who reclassified from the 2022 class to the 2021 class. Ewers is 6-foot-3, 206-pound  QB out of Southland, TX. He is the No. 1 QB in the 2021 class according to 247sports.com even after reclassifying.

In the press conference Day was excited to have Ewers at the Buckeyes fall camp but said it was too early in camp to tell if Ewers was going to play at all this season, according to Hope from elevenwarriors.com

The Buckeyes open against the Minnesota Golden Gophers Thursday Sept. 2, in Minneapolis.
