Ohio State has been without Master Teague III in the backfield the last two games because of injury, and there’s no clear sign if he’ll be ready for this weekend’s road trip to Nebraska.
Tuesday, head coach Ryan Day provide a basic update on Teague as the Buckeyes prepare for the Huskers. Teague is still “day-to-day” and his status for Saturday’s game is unknown.
In 5 games this year, Teague has been responsible for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns on 43 carries. He has also caught 2 passes for 12 yards this season.
Ohio State has relied heavily on TreVeyon Henderson out of the backfield for a majority of the season. The freshman back has piled up 845 yards and 12 touchdowns on 107 carries. Miyan Williams has also pitched in with 314 yards and a pair of scores on 43 touches.
Saturday, the Buckeyes travel to Lincoln to put their 7-1 record on the line against a 3-6 Huskers team. Kickoff is set for noon ET.
