Ryan Day wants to see mistake-free game from Ohio State in Week 2
Ryan Day is happy Ohio State secured a season-opening win over Akron in Week 1. However, he has a singular goal (outside or a win) for the Buckeyes in Week 2.
Ohio State heads into the weekend with a matchup against Western Michigan. DraftKings has Ohio State as a 38-point favorite for that game, so how the Buckeyes win will be closely monitored this weekend. (And be sure to use Tradition’s sports betting apps in Ohio to track the whole slate of action.)
When it comes to how he wants Ohio State to play, Day said on his Thursday radio show that he is looking for “zero mistakes” from the Buckeyes. He specifically highlighted pre-snap and procedural penalties as a “no tolerance” area for the coaching staff.
Ryan Day wants Ohio State to play clean football against Western Michigan and all its opponents.
“I want zero mistakes,” he said. “We want to be really, really clean.”
Day added that the coaches have “no tolerance” for pre-snap and procedural penalties.

While Ohio State did score 52 points in the rout of Akron, the Buckeyes were flagged 7 times for 45 yards. That is certainly an area of concern, but Week 2 gives Ohio State the chance to clean things up.
We will see how Ohio State comes out focused in Week 2 with a chance to move to 2-0. Saturday’s kickoff is set for 7:30 pm ET on BTN.
