Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel might be one of the most confident and passionate personalities in the NFL today. It’s quite possible he may also be the craziest.
At least based on some of his recent comments when it came to winning a Super Bowl, and what he’d do to reach the NFL mountaintop. It’s not something many men would sign up for, I’ll tell you that.
In a recent episode of Bussin’ with the Boys podcast — hosted by ex-Titans linebacker Will Compton and current offensive lineman Taylor Lewan — Vrabel was asked if he’d be willing to…um…castrate himself if it meant leading Tennessee to a Super Bowl.
He said yes!
Below is the transcription from the podcast:
Lewan: Matt Neely (an assistant for the show) said he would cut off his dick for a, uno, Super Bowl, and I said, No I would not do that. Would you cut your dick off for a Super Bowl?
Vrabel: Been married 20 years. Yeah, probably.
Lewan: You’ve got three?!
Vrabel: As a player…. You guys will be married for 20 years one day. You won’t need it.
Lewan: If you come home with a bag of ice, and Jen is like ‘Oh honey what did you do.’ I cut …my dick off, we’re gonna win a Super Bowl, she’d be like “eh,” or would she be upset?
Vrabel: She’d be like do you want me to do it? Do you want to do it now?
Vrabel has always been known as a tough football guy, dating back to his days as a defensive lineman at Ohio State. But that’s an entirely different level.
There are a lot of people who would do a lot of things to win a Super Bowl. I can’t imagine a majority of them would be willing to sacrifice their manhood, though. Hopefully, Vrabel is in the minority when it comes to that.
