Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Greg Schiano got his punishment for hitting a bicyclist with his car last Thursday morning.

According to the Columbus Dispatch’s Bill Rabinowitz, Schiano received a misdemeanor citation for his role in the incident:

The victim, a 26-year-old student, was taken into the hospital in stable condition. He was expected to make a full recovery. Schiano still reported to practice that day.

An Ohio State spokesperson confirmed the initial report and said that the team was still gathering facts on the matter.┬áThe team has not commented on Schiano’s punishment.

Schiano is in his first year on Urban Meyer’s staff. Under his direction, the No. 2 Buckeyes are tied for the national lead with four defensive touchdowns.
